Our Work
All of DMI’s initiatives and programs are community-led and volunteer-driven, leveraging the passion and expertise of many talented individuals who love, live, or work here in Middletown, Ohio. In 2023 alone, DMI’s Board of Directors, staff and our army of volunteers have given over 4,084 hours of service, valued at more than $122,322 in support of Downtown.

D.O.R.A. Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area
Middletown was Ohio’s first city to adopt the designated outdoor refreshment area!
You can purchase a beverage from a liquor permit establishment within the DORA boundaries and walk around our downtown DORA district with your drink! Sip, stroll and explore!

Grow With Google
Google and DMI are pleased to announce our Grow With Google Digital Coaching Program!
Our coach Janet Hurn works with small businesses for free, to build digital skills in Middletown Ohio.
The workshops are part of a partnership between Grow With Google, Main Street America and DMI. Our goal is to provide our small businesses and other small businesses in the region with digital skills training!

Revitalization Road Map
After 40+ individual meetings and over 200 surveys this is an overview of the finding in downtown Middletown and suggestions on ways we can improve. This is an unbiased look at our downtown is its current state.

DMI in collaboration with First Financial Bank created a special $100,000 Micro Loan Program for both new and existing businesses within the downtown district.
