FIRST FRIDAY, YAY! Join us the First Friday of every month when your downtown Middletown neighborhood businesses, boutiques, eateries, & galleries keep their doors open late, just for you! Explore all the new faces and places downtown, visit with your neighbors, and have a great time! The fun is from 5-9 p.m., we hope to see you here in downtown Middletown!
The Downtown Middletown DORA District, Ohio’s first designated outdoor refreshment area, is in operation from 6 p.m. to Midnight Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights. For more information about how the DORA works, and the boundaries, click here.
Kicking off on February 27th and lasting through March 10th, Middfest International will be hosting a series of events taking place in and around downtown Middletown involving numerous aspects of peacemaking and reaching out to refugees. The main location for many events will be held at The Windamere Event Center, located at 2 S Main Street in downtown Middletown.

Help us celebrate Middletown’s own Hometown Heroes! Spend an evening with our Police & Fire Department and First Responders! Police cruisers, fire trucks, k-9 units and more will be there. A chance for the community to meet & greet the men and women who protect us every day. Kids young and old are encouraged to dress up like their favorite heroes!
Chalk artists will line the streets to showcase their work, turning downtown Middletown into a living work of art, and listen to live music at Governor's Square from the Madison High School Steel Drum Band! Chalk it Up is proudly sponsored by The Pendleton Art Center.
Get Ready, Teddy! Join us this First Friday in Governor’s Square for story time, dancing, music and lots of reading FUN with Ready Teddy! Kids young and old, bring your beloved teddy to downtown Middletown to explore for the day. The Teddy Bear Doctor will be in to fix those rips and holes in your favorite friends. Few know that in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s Middletown, Ohio was the ferret capital of the Midwest. Yes, we are serious! The land that is now Hook Field Airport was once the home of the Farnsworth Ferret Farm. The flood of 1913 ended the rein of the ferret here in Middletown, but 2017 is the year we bring our furry friends back to town! Join us for the first annual FERRET FEST here in downtown Middletown.
This First Friday we will launch our "Finding Ferret” downtown challenge. A scavenger hunt & walking tour to find the hidden ferrets around Middletown. They could be hidden on the side of buildings, inside businesses, ferrets will be EVERYWHERE. First Friday will be a festival to honor our weird and wonderful history of ferret farms and more, so find the registration booth in Governor’s Square to get your map and begin the hunt! #ferretsforever

3. Whatever ball you pull from the bucket is the discount you get off your entire purchase. Every participant will receive at least 10% but you have a chance to save up to 40% off your order!
